Apocalypse Surfer
Captured in Half Moon Bay, California. People sometimes refer to this as “the day the sun didn’t rise.” It was eerie. Wildfires had blanketed the Bay with a think cloud of smoke causing dangerous air quality. When the sun attempted to peak through it created an orange haze turning everywhere you looked into a giant Instagram filter. At lunch, I took this shot of a surfer, in the midst of all of the craziness, going about his business.
Printed on Canson Baryta with a 2” border using archival pigments (8x12s are printed on lustre paper, no border). Sizes limited due to photo resolution.
