End of the Line
Glacial ice is superior to other ice and I don’t know why. Maybe it is because I’ve had it both in a margarita in Alaska and pisco sour in Chile? Regardless, the Grey Glacier in Patagonia is truly one of those sights impressive to behold. I was attracted to this SUV sized floating chunk of ice as most of my fellow boat passengers craned their necks to get a better view of the glacier before running inside to warm up. It felt sculptural and more manageable to understand compared to the seemingly endless icefield behind me. I was witnessing the end of the line for this ice.
